Overview

We are seeking a forward-thinking and hands-on Financial Controller to oversee end-to-end financial operations, including high-volume payroll, accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.

In Short

  • Own and manage all core accounting and finance functions, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
  • Execute and review high-volume payroll processing.
  • Oversee general ledger activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end close.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and scenario modeling.
  • Apply financial insight and foresight to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions in QBO or Xero and/or Stripe.
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve financial controls, policies, and processes.
  • Support audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams as a strategic finance partner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Strong experience managing high-volume payroll.
  • Proven capability in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • High proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) or Xero.
  • Solid understanding of payroll compliance and accounting standards.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
