Financial Controller - Remote

Overview

The Financial Controller is responsible for the overall accounting operations, maintaining a robust control environment, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and producing timely, accurate financial reports.

In Short

• Lead the Month-End/Year-End Close Process.
• Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements.
• Research and document accounting treatment for complex transactions.
• Manage external financial audit activities.
• Oversee tax compliance and relationship with tax consultants.
• Establish and monitor internal controls over financial reporting.
• Partner with Data Analyst for process optimization.
• Oversee NetSuite system administration.
• Directly manage and mentor the Corporate Accountant.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software, preferably NetSuite.
• Experience managing audits and tax compliance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership abilities.
