Overview

The Staff Data Analyst role at Okta involves unlocking analytics across the company by managing data lifecycles, enabling data tooling, and fostering the safe usage of scalable data models for reporting and analytics.

In Short

• Partner with Sales, TAM, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams.
• Drive scalable, semantic data models for stakeholders.
• Educate data stakeholders on new data objects and models.
• Build reusable data models supporting business concepts.
• Deliver executive dashboards based on data models.
• Ensure data privacy and governance throughout the data lifecycle.
• 7+ years of experience in relevant fields.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools.
• Strong SQL and DBT experience.
• Excellent business acumen and emotional intelligence.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data management, engineering, or analytics.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, etc.).
• 5+ years of SQL experience.
• 3+ years of DBT experience.
• Strong understanding of data lifecycle management.
• Excellent relationship-building skills.
• BA or higher preferred.
