Senior Inpatient Hospital Coder - Remote

Overview

The Senior Inpatient Hospital Coder is responsible for reviewing, coding, and abstracting complex hospital services and procedures to ensure accurate reimbursement and compliance with coding guidelines.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of AHIMA accredited coding program preferred.
• 3 years of coding experience.
• Certification as CCS, CIC, RHIA, or RHIT.
• Proficient in ICD-9-CM and ICD-10 coding principles.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Computer skills for data entry and software utilization.
• Ability to present information clearly and professionally.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to coding.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
