• Accurately codes hospital inpatient accounts for reimbursement and compliance.
• Serves as a clinical coding subject matter expert.
• Analyzes and codes complex inpatient cases.
• Collaborates with other senior coders for coding advice.

• Requires a minimum of three years of coding experience.
• Certification in coding is required.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Formal ICD-10-CM and CPT training preferred.
• Minimum of three years ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS coding experience.
• Certification required (CCS, RHIT, RHIA, CIC).
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology.
• Computer experience and typing ability.
• Ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational skills.
