The Oncology Data Specialist will identify, abstract, and maintain records for malignancy cases while ensuring adherence to established standards and procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum one year experience as Oncology Data Specialist.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology.
• Experience with multi-facility oncology registries preferred.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Skills in data management and relevant software.
• Effective decision-making capabilities.
• Attention to detail and follow-through.
• Organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
• Familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
