Principal Software Engineer (Java, Multithreading, SQL, AWS) - Remote

Overview

The Slice (Nielsen IQ) team is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our Core Engineering team in Ukraine to work on Java-based public web services, focusing on high availability and low latency in a distributed infrastructure.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in building production software.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Expertise in Java development and debugging.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Proficient in multithreading programming.
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL data stores.
• Good understanding of Hibernate and JPA technologies.
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud-based deployment processes.
• Experience with tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to implement complex algorithms.
