ML Platform Engineer - Remote

NIQ, a leader in understanding consumer buying behavior, is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our Enterprise Platform Engineering team in Chennai, India. You'll be a crucial part of our mission to deliver world-class corporate technologies for over 30,000 global employees, supporting a wide range of critical services, including our AI/ML initiatives.

In Short

• Design and architect scalable, resilient platforms that empower other engineering teams.
• Build and maintain robust platform frameworks supporting data science and machine learning workflows.
• Collaborate with application development, data science, and site reliability engineering teams.
• Deepen expertise in core platform technologies like Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and GitOps tools.
• Ensure seamless deployment and operation of platforms by building CI/CD pipelines.
• Proactively monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance and security.
• Continuously improve platform reliability, scalability, and availability.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all platforms and frameworks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development or DevOps, with at least 2 years in platform engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and GitOps tooling.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms, with experience in AWS and Azure.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines leveraging tools like GitLab.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and API management tools.
• Experience with building and managing ML platforms is a plus.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical work experience.
