Overview

The NYISO’s Information Technology department invites applications for a full-time Senior UNIX Administrator to join our Team, responsible for administering large, multi-site UNIX server environments and ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.

• Administer UNIX and Linux server environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Seven years of experience as a UNIX or Linux Server Administrator.
• Advanced knowledge of UNIX/Linux OS administration.
• Familiarity with VMware and cloud technologies.
• Ability to interpret complex policies and procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience with networking and storage technologies.
• Certifications in AIX, HP-UX, or RHEL preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical staff and stakeholders.
• Intermediate competency in Windows operating environment.
