Capacity Accreditation Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Capacity Accreditation Engineer will support the NYISO’s activities related to the Capacity Accreditation process to ensure accurate Capacity Accreditation Factors are developed consistent with applicable policies, procedures, and tariffs.

In Short

• Support seasonal and annual calculations for Capacity Market compensation.
• Review performance data of electric generating equipment.
• Perform GADS screening and develop EFORd reports.
• Support calculations and analysis of various capacity factors.
• Conduct studies related to Capacity Accreditation Factors.
• Collaborate with Market Operation teams.
• Support development of documentation and procedure revisions.
• Implement changes to software systems.
• Participate in market design and rule changes.
• Engage in stakeholder support and consensus building.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
• 1-3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Ability to analyze and interpret business and technical documents.
• Advanced mathematical and analytical skills.
• Intermediate competency in MS Office and SQL.
• Experience with GE MARS and market simulation tools.
