Overview

As a Software Engineer at New Relic, you will contribute to building and extending open source Java and Otel agent products, providing real-time insights for customers.

• Design, build and maintain New Relic and Otel Java open source instrumentation agent.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in software development or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Java/Scala and/or Kotlin.
• Proficiency in Java development and object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with JVM internals and libraries like ByteBuddy.
• Strong understanding of open-source observability tools.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Knowledge of AWS/Azure/GCP, serverless, Docker, Kubernetes.
