Overview

The Manager, Organ Donation Coordinators is responsible for supervising and optimizing the performance of a team dedicated to increasing organ availability for transplantation.

In Short

  • Supervise and mentor team members in the organ donation process.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and set departmental goals.
  • Collaborate with HR on employee relations and development.
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Manage clinical call schedules and staffing.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide training and support for staff development.
  • Engage in conflict resolution and team building.
  • Act as Clinical Director on Call as needed.
  • Lead department meetings and strategic planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; clinical experience preferred.
  • 5+ years in a clinical or OPO setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data visualization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and decision-making.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical processes.
  • Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to Waltham, MA as needed.
