Per Diem Hematopathologist - Remote

Overview

The Hematopathologist will be responsible for providing contemporary Hematopathology services that integrate morphological examination with Flow Cytometry, Cytogenetics, FISH and Molecular genetics.

In Short

• Responsible for diagnostic interpretation and sign out of flow cytometry and FISH cases.
• Reads and interprets laboratory data.
• Participates in quality control and assurance procedures.
• Engages in day-to-day operations and case consultation.
• Provides expertise to technologists and technicians.
• Serves as Delegated Clinical Consultant when assigned.
• Works closely with clinical and administrative staff.
• Builds effective relationships with referring physicians.

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree with board certification in Hematopathology preferred.
• At least five years of experience in hematopathology.
• Active and unrestricted Medical License in the state of residence.
• Willingness to engage as a 3rd party consultant.
• Proven track record as a productive team member.
• Experience using an automated laboratory information system.
