Billing Preprocessing Specialist I - Remote

Overview

NeoGenomics has an opening for a Billing Preprocessing Specialist I who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow. This position is a Monday – Friday 7am -3:30pm, Remote role to work an Eastern time zone day shift.

In Short

• Update account information based on client requisition and supporting documents.
• Ensure appropriate dates of service are utilized in accordance with CMS Laboratory Date of Service Policy.
• Resolve preprocessing errors and ensure timely and accurate claim submission.
• Collaborate with ILAB and Data Specialist Team to optimize efficiencies across front-end.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing goals as assigned by management.
• Maintain individual productivity as set forth by management.
• Maintain accuracy by following policies and procedures; report needed changes to management.
• Maintain data entry requirements by following written procedures.
• Maintain customer confidence and protect data by following HIPAA compliant regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Billing Certificate Preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in Healthcare.
• Proven track record entering demographics and insurance.
• Capable of adapting to multiple applications of software, TelCor preferred.
• Knowledge of reimbursement processes, billing, and accounts receivable.
• Knowledge of preprocessing errors or rejections that prevent claim submission.
• Solid computer skills with emphasis on MS Office products.
• Must be comfortable working in a close-knit, team environment where attitude and work ethics are a priority.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
