Overview

The Infrastructure Backup Engineer will provide high-quality backup support for a large multi-client community, ensuring the effective operation and availability of backup infrastructure.

In Short

• Provide operational activities for Backup/Recovery teams.
• Administer Enterprise Backup/Restore and Archival and Retrieval.
• Handle support calls and implement technical changes.
• Responsible for capacity planning and performance analysis.
• Create and manage backup datasets and retention policies.
• Monitor and recover failed backups.
• Configure/manage VMware, OVM & OSSP backups.
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting of Backup/Recovery issues.
• Perform proactive maintenance of systems.
• Work independently and manage time effectively.

Requirements

• Experience in backup technology.
• Extensive experience with backup policies and clients.
• Experience with Enterprise Level Backup Systems.
• Support experience for internal/external stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with Multi Site Replication.
• Eligible for Security Clearance.
• Experience with Windows.
• Hands-on experience with GUI or CLI.
• Recent experience with vSphere.
• Experience working within an ITIL Environment is desirable.
