Overview

Monks is on the lookout for one (1) Talent & Rights Manager to join the in-house Legal & Business Affairs team, which works closely together with our content production teams.

In Short

  • This is primarily a remote role, but you will work with clients and other team members across North America.
  • Focus on servicing our automotive client based in Detroit.
  • Manage talent relations and ensure rights related to intellectual properties are effectively negotiated.
  • Collaborate with Business Affairs Managers & Producers for contract accuracy.
  • Estimate and negotiate residual fees for SAG and Non-Union talent.
  • Work closely with the internal legal team on clearance matters.
  • Reports into the Director of Business Affairs.
  • 3-5 years of experience in advertising production required.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential.
  • Proactive and able to work under pressure.

Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience within the advertising production industry.
  • Demonstrable skills in talent & rights management.
  • Fluent in English; other languages are a bonus.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAG-AFTRA Commercials Contract.
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on new tasks.
  • Proactive, hands-on, result-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
