Overview

The Compensation Consultant is a key role in providing consultative expertise, guidance, and analysis to hospitals and business units to help meet objectives while ensuring equity, external competitiveness and compliance.

In Short

  • Provide guidance to hospital/business unit areas on complex compensation matters.
  • Monitor existing programs for ongoing issues and concerns.
  • Facilitate sound decision-making with timely and accurate information.
  • Research new theories and best practices in compensation.
  • Suggest enhancements to existing compensation programs.

  • Ensure compliance with compensation-related regulations.
  • Resolve escalated compensation issues with accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • Four years of experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
  • Certification in related area (e.g., CCP, CBP, PHR) is desirable.
  • Three years of experience in Compensation or Human Resources.
  • Experience researching compensation issues and administration.
  • Ability to develop recommendations for solutions in a large organization.
  • Preferably experience in the health care sector.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
