The Major Gifts Officer is responsible for expanding private donor support by cultivating, engaging, and soliciting high-net-worth individuals based in the United States, contributing to the funding of Mercy Corps' global programs.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in major gifts or private fundraising.
• Strong track record of soliciting 5- and 6-figure gifts.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with donors.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, particularly NXT.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Passion for international development and humanitarian work.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
