Overview

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Project Manager will lead the Compass project, which aims to utilize ambient voice capture technology for efficient data collection in humanitarian settings.

In Short

• Lead AI project management for a 12-month initiative.
• Coordinate with multiple organizations (Mercy Corps, Save the Children, CARE).
• Manage the development of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
• Ensure data ethics and community consent frameworks are in place.
• Oversee technical implementation and project delivery.

• Track project impact and monitor evaluation processes.
• Contribute to thought leadership in low-resource language AI.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in managing technology projects.
• Experience with voice technology and NLP.
• Familiarity with humanitarian data collection tools.
• Strong understanding of data ethics and community consent.
• Excellent project management and budgeting skills.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
• Ability to coordinate multi-stakeholder projects.
• Strong communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Experience in low-resource or field environments.
