In Short

  • Handle dispute intake and resolution processes, including pre-arbitration and arbitration cases.
  • Work with partners and internal team members to assess information from users regarding disputes.
  • Manage a high-volume caseload within service level agreements.
  • Submit chargebacks to Mastercard as needed.
  • Document rationale for risk decisions with supporting documentation.
  • Maintain a positive user experience while mitigating risks.
  • Handle high complexity or escalated dispute cases.
  • Write clear documentation on current processes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to cross-functional teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes through tooling changes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of card disputes intake and resolution experience.
  • Strong understanding of RegE dispute requirements.
  • Familiarity with Mastercard and/or Visa chargeback rules.
  • Experience in banking, fintech, or financial services.
  • Highly motivated self-starter, comfortable in a high-risk environment.
  • Knowledge of banking products such as ACH and debit cards.
  • Ability to communicate complicated concepts clearly.
  • Curiosity about the US banking system and startups.
