Overview

The Sales Director – Americas is a senior commercial leader and a core member of MaxCyte’s Commercial Leadership Team, responsible for driving revenue growth, execution excellence, and customer success across the Americas.

In Short

  • Direct sales leadership in North America, managing Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Field Application Scientists (FAS).
  • Distributor strategy and performance management in Latin America.
  • Translate global commercial strategy into regional execution.
  • Own and deliver quarterly and annual revenue targets across the Americas.
  • Drive consistent adoption of CRM and data-driven decision-making.
  • Maintain senior-level relationships with key strategic accounts.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams for seamless execution.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and ethical standards.
  • Analyze performance trends and contribute to annual operating plans.
  • Willingness to travel across North America (up to ~40–50%).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of commercial experience in life sciences or biotechnology.
  • Experience in cell & gene therapy, biomanufacturing, or genome engineering.
  • Proven success leading direct sales teams and managing distributor networks.
  • Strong experience with complex, long-cycle sales.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience operating as part of a global commercial leadership team.
  • Demonstrated strength in forecasting and KPI-driven management.
  • Track record of scaling commercial organizations.
  • Advanced degree (PhD, MS, MBA) is preferred.
