Overview

The Senior Manager National Accounts at Mattel is responsible for driving revenue and profitability by managing sales to top retailers in the US, focusing on strategic account plans and collaboration with internal and external partners.

In Short

  • Drive revenue and profitability for Mattel's iconic toy brands.
  • Develop and execute Strategic Account Plans for the Club channel.
  • Manage a direct report and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Identify business opportunities and manage the sell-in process.
  • Provide customer insights to influence product development.
  • Conduct global alignment meetings and manage trade spend.
  • Participate in weekly buyer meetings and business reviews.
  • Build strong relationships with account buyers and internal partners.
  • Attend toy shows and stay informed about new product lines.
  • Deliver on sales growth, margin, and inventory targets.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of sales or marketing experience in CPG or similar environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Effective selling and communication skills.
  • Analytical skills to drive business decisions.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively.
  • Strong PC skills (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).
  • Strategic visionary with a goal-oriented mindset.
  • Experience in trade marketing and category management preferred.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience working in the Club Channel is a plus.
