Overview

As Marqeta’s Senior Account Executive in the UK, you will be passionate about scaling the success of our business in Europe, engaging in complex business and technical engagements.

In Short

  • Cultivating and managing relationships with executives and entrepreneurs.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to define solutions.
  • Originating new customer opportunities and shepherding deals.
  • Learning about Marqeta and supporting Team Leads on strategic projects.
  • Understanding and communicating technical and product benefits.
  • Generating and closing new opportunities.
  • Assisting team leads in closing and launching enterprise customers.
  • Qualifying leads and prioritizing customer opportunities.
  • Managing real customer opportunities through a sales process.
  • Working with the Legal team on contracting processes.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in sales or strategic business development.
  • Interest in the payments ecosystem.
  • Comfort with managing expectations of stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with fintech and B2B technology applications.
  • Financial acumen for evaluating customer proposals.
  • Confidence in serving as the face of Marqeta.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Superior communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and self-starter mentality.
