Overview

The Security Operations Center (SOC) team at Lumin Digital is responsible for all phases of the security incident lifecycle, including preparation, identification, containment, eradication, recovery, and reviewing lessons learned. This role serves as the leader of this function: overseeing incident response operations, driving improvements in threat detection and response capabilities, and coordinating across technical and business teams.

In Short

  • Lead incident response operations for SOC.
  • Identify emerging industry threats and enhance security controls.
  • Develop and present SOC metrics reports.
  • Provide training on emerging threats to SOC team members.
  • Review technical methods and output of the SOC team.
  • Manage hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
  • Coach and mentor team members for growth.
  • Collect evidence for client due diligence and audits.
  • Collaborate with risk engineering teams.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity while working remotely.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience with security controls.
  • 3 years of experience in incident response within SOC.
  • Experience with AWS, Linux, Kubernetes, and scripting languages.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Strong data analysis skills using tools like Excel.
  • Working knowledge of network and cloud security concepts.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong client orientation and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
