Senior Consultant, Data Engineer - Remote

Overview

Lovelytics is seeking an ambitious data engineer who is comfortable working in a client-facing role, to join our Data & AI team and work on strategic Databricks and other data engineering projects.

In Short

• Utilize consulting and technical skills to work in a client-facing project environment.
• Execute client engagements under the supervision of the engagement lead.
• Collaborate with team members to successfully deliver on projects.
• Work effectively with internal and client teams.
• Support data integration efforts using cloud services.
• Deliver ETL/ELT pipelines for small-scale projects independently.
• Contribute to data warehousing initiatives.
• Apply skills with Databricks, using Python and big data streaming.

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience in data engineering and big data, preferably with client interaction.
• Extensive knowledge of data warehousing concepts and hands-on experience with Databricks and/or Spark.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and possibly Scala.
• Basic data modeling and database design skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Databricks certification is a plus.
