Overview

Our client, a fast-growing travel startup, is hiring an Accounts Payable Analyst to join their team. This candidate would be joining a small accounting team, where there is room to take on additional responsibility as the role and company grow. This is a full-time, remote position, working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

In Short

  • Receive, verify, reconcile, and process all invoices.
  • Process commission payments for affiliate partners.
  • Work with vendors to resolve pricing and invoice discrepancies.
  • Track and manage foreign exchange risks.
  • Assist the Accounting Team with chargebacks and payment disputes.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize accounts payable processes.
  • Assist with bookkeeper inquiries and periodic audits.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of direct or similar accounts payable experience.
  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to multitask and handle a large volume of invoices.
  • Extremely strong attention to detail.
  • An ability to work well independently and be a self-starter.
  • Familiarity with foreign currencies and international payments.
  • A passion for problem solving and producing high quality work.
  • Proven time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluency in arithmetic and fundamental accounting operations.
