Backend Engineer - Java - Remote

Overview

LivePerson is seeking a creative and talented professional to join our team as a Backend Engineer (Java/Node.js) as part of our Conversation Exchange Services team. The successful candidate will work on building state-of-the-art services used by our largest customers.

In Short

• Own the design and implementation of significant portions of product development.
• Set features, architecture, and best practices for the team.
• Create reliable, scalable, and high-performance services.
• Drive execution and delivery of features by collaborating with various teams.
• Build and maintain critical features of the Enterprise platform.
• Translate customer/business requirements into platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with external partners for integration solutions.
• Participate in product roadmap discussions and architecture reviews.
• Promote agile and test-driven development practices.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Java at scale.
• Experience with distributed microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Hands-on with CI/CD and production readiness.
• Self-motivated and customer-focused.
• Experience with globally distributed teams is a plus.
• Willingness to participate in paid on-call duty.
• A strong sense of quality and passion for development.
