In Short

• Review, redline, and negotiate NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, and vendor contracts.
• Serve as the first line of legal support for Lifted.
• Apply commercial judgment to speed up standard contract negotiations.
• Escalate non-standard issues to Upwork Inc. Legal.
• Collaborate with Upwork Inc. Legal to refine frameworks and processes.
• Support the design and automation of LegalOps processes.
• Contribute to legal enablement efforts through FAQs and training materials.
• Manage day-to-day contract requests and internal legal questions.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school and active license in a U.S. jurisdiction.
• 4+ years of experience with commercial contracts.
• Ability to manage and negotiate a large portfolio of agreements.
• Experience in staffing or contingent workforce environments.
• Excellent redlining and drafting skills.
• Experience collaborating with legal and non-legal stakeholders.
• Business-minded with a pragmatic approach to risk management.
• Familiarity with contract lifecycle management systems.
