Contracts Counsel - Remote

Overview

The Contracts Counsel will play a pivotal role in supporting CPG’s dynamic and evolving operations. Reporting directly to the EVP, Chief Legal Officer, this is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative legal team to work on a broad range of complex and sensitive legal and business issues to give real-time analysis and practical advice.

In Short

• Serve as legal counsel for a wide range of commercial and corporate contracts.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex SaaS and data technology-related agreements.
• Collaborate with the vendor management team to develop standard vendor contract templates.
• Conduct due diligence, contract reviews, and risk assessments.
• Ensure alignment with applicable laws and internal policies.
• Leverage and supervise outside counsel specialists as necessary.
• Regular in-person, on-site interaction with colleagues required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Qualified attorney with an active license to practice law in New York.

Requirements

• Skilled in contract management, problem-solving, and strategic negotiations.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Comfortable working autonomously but collaboratively.
• Ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships.
• Familiarity with U.S. data privacy laws is a bonus.
