Category Insights Manager - Remote

Overview

The client is an internationally operating trading company with several locations in Europe. To further drive successful growth, they are looking for a Category Insights Manager. In Short

• Identify trends and innovations in various FMCG sectors that meet customer demands.
• Analyze market research metrics to derive recommendations and handle ad-hoc tasks for different stakeholders.
• Support trading partners and internal units with classic category management topics.
• Create added value for contract suppliers and trading partners.
• Collaborate with top management in purchasing, business development, and sister companies as well as market research institutes.

Requirements

• Completed studies (University, Technical University, or equivalent) or a relevant education, preferably with a trading background.
• Solid experience with market research tools like Nielsen & GfK SimIT and/or SPSS (Retail/Industry with a focus on food).
• A strong sense for trends & innovations as well as customer desires.
• Strong communication skills and persuasiveness.
• Diplomacy and the ability to speak the 'language' of producers.
