• Join LeoLabs as a Senior Software Engineer in the Catalog team.
• Build and maintain an independent catalog of objects in low Earth orbit.
• Deploy software to public cloud environments ensuring high availability and security.
• Optimize data pipelines for radar scheduling and new object discovery.
• Contribute to improving space object tracking and orbital safety.
• Work with Python and AWS, focusing on large-scale data pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on priorities.
• Take ownership of features from design to implementation.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Drive major technical improvements and establish best practices.

Requirements

• M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience with Python in a SaaS platform.
• Experience with AWS and cloud deployment technologies.
• Deep understanding of software development practices and security.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and message queuing systems.
• Able to hold a USA security clearance.
• Experience in agile and test-driven development methodologies.
• Experience with relational databases and microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with Math, Physics, or Orbital Mechanics is a plus.
• Experience deploying to secure environments preferred.
