Overview

The Specialty Testing Customer Service Support Representative plays a crucial role in assisting patients and clients with health insurance inquiries and billing questions, all while working from home.

In Short

  • Work from home position in a fast-paced environment.
  • Handle approximately 75 calls per day from patients and healthcare providers.
  • Assist clients with insurance coverage and billing inquiries.
  • Document and maintain accurate records in billing systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues.
  • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and PCI compliance.
  • Prior healthcare and customer service experience preferred.
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ year of relevant work experience or 3+ years without a degree.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to interpret insurance explanations of benefits.
  • Experience with medical billing and collections preferred.
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes is a plus.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Windows and Office.
  • Ability to follow established protocols and procedures.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
