Senior Cytogenetics Analyst - Remote

Overview

Labcorp's Shelton CT office is seeking a remote Sr. Cytogenetic Analyst to join their team, focusing on Oncology Cytogenetics.

In Short

• Position is remote with the possibility of work travel twice a year.
• Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 4:30PM.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures according to SOPs.
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot equipment and software.
• Report accurate and timely test results for quality patient care.
• Analyze chromosomes, including imaging and karyotyping.
• Review test requisitions for pertinent details.
• Summarize test results using ISCN nomenclature.
• Document corrective actions and comply with company policies.
• Maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 4 years of clinical laboratory testing experience.
• Experience in Oncology Cytogenetics preferred.
• ASCP certification in Cytogenetics preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient with computers and familiarity with lab information systems.
• High attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Must pass a standardized color vision screen.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
