Cytogenetic Analyst - Remote

Overview

Labcorp Women’s Health and Genetics division is seeking a remote Cytogenetic Analyst to join their team! The position will focus primarily on analysis of routine blood chromosomes.

In Short

• Remote position with possible in-person training.
• Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 4:30PM.
• Conduct analysis of chromosomes including imaging and karyotyping.
• Summarize test results utilizing ISCN nomenclature.
• Review test requisitions for pertinent details.
• Document troubleshooting and corrective actions.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant science field.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a Cytogenetics clinical laboratory.
• Experience with cytogenetic analysis of metaphase spreads.
• ASCP certification in Cytogenetics preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient with computers and laboratory information systems.
• High attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Must pass a standardized color vision screen.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
