LaunchDarkly is seeking a Mid-Level Backend Engineer (L3) to join our Metrics Team, which powers the analytical backbone of our product offerings. This team plays a pivotal role in enabling features like Experimentation, Guarded Releases, and Error Monitoring by creating seamless and robust ways for users to capture and analyze metrics.

In Short

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems that process metrics and event data.
Develop and maintain robust integrations with data sources like Snowflake and telemetry systems.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features.
Address and resolve complex technical challenges.
Analyze system performance and drive optimizations.
Maintain high standards of code quality.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in backend development.
Proficiency in Go or similar programming languages.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and databases.
Hands-on experience with observability tools and telemetry systems.
Proven ability to mentor junior engineers.
Exceptional communication skills.
