Mid-Level Backend Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are looking for Mid-Level Engineers with a deep backend focus to join our team at HashiCorp, where we build the Infrastructure Cloud for enterprises.

In Short

• Design, prototype and implement features and tools.
• Collaborate with Product Design and Management partners.
• Manage task expectations and build medium-sized features.
• Engage in team discussions for planning and workflow improvements.
• Debug and resolve medium-level bugs in products.
• Review technical contributions for quality and consistency.
• Participate in on-call rotations and team planning.
• Suggest improvements to current processes.
• Engage in team discussions around product requirements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an engineer.
• Experience with modern programming languages, especially Golang and Ruby.
• Experience with distributed systems on cloud providers.
• Experience in reviewing and refactoring code.
• Writing tests for complex cases.
• Ability to build trust and foster relationships across teams.
• Cloud-native mindset and understanding of DevOps principles.
• Emerging experience in mentoring team members.
• Strong customer focus and systems-thinking mindset.
