Senior Customer Success Engineer - Remote

We’re building the next generation of intelligent, data-driven systems — and we’re looking for an experienced, customer-focused engineer who can help our enterprise users deploy, operate, and scale LanceDB successfully.

In Short

• Partner closely with customers to design, deploy, and optimize LanceDB in production environments.
• Lead technical onboarding and architecture reviews; provide best-practice guidance on system configuration, query optimization, and integration patterns.
• Proactively identify adoption barriers and troubleshoot complex distributed-system issues.
• Own customer success metrics and build dashboards to track health across accounts.
• Develop and deliver technical enablement materials to accelerate customer outcomes.
• Serve as the customer’s technical advocate internally.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales engineering and support engineering.
• Contribute to internal tooling and processes for customer success.
• Shape processes, tooling, and team culture as we scale customer success.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience in technical roles such as post-sales engineering or customer success.
• Proven track record supporting distributed database systems or cloud-native data platforms.
• Strong proficiency in Rust and Python.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts.
• Experience deploying and managing workloads on Kubernetes or other container orchestration frameworks.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability with a customer-first mindset.
• Willingness to flex across functions as needed.
