Billing Manager - Remote

Overview

The Billing Manager will oversee customer billing operations and be the subject matter expert on best practices in billing processes.

• Manage an enterprise-grade SaaS billing solution (Zuora).
• Process daily billings and ensure invoice accuracy.
• Work cross-functionally to review customer contracts.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
• Lead month-end closing activities related to Accounts Receivable.
• Assist with Sales Tax reporting and reconciliations.
• Mentor members of the Billing Team.
• Develop long-term strategies for billing operations.
• Improve overall processes and internal controls.
• Handle sensitive personal data.

Requirements

• BS in Finance or Accounting preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Zuora or similar SaaS product.
• 5+ years billing experience in a cloud software environment.
• 3+ years in financial operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Excel (vlookups, pivot tables).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition.
• Experience in a high-growth startup environment.
• Strong organizational skills.
