Staff Solutions Architect - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Staff Solutions Architect to join the growing Professional Services team at Kong. As a Staff Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for leading and guiding our customers throughout their technical journey with Kong, ensuring they receive the utmost value from their investment in our products.

In Short

• Lead and guide customers through their technical journey with Kong.
• Serve as a technical advisor to enterprise customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Customer Success.
• Drive successful delivery of customer-facing engagements.
• Engage in hands-on implementation and configuration assistance.
• Build end-to-end solution architecture for customers.
• Write and edit technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Produce tooling and marketing content.
• Act as a stellar teammate for the Kong team.
• Travel to customer and Kong locations as needed.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in professional services/support or technical roles.
• Hands-on experience with API gateway and integrations.
• Infrastructure build experience with virtual machines or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of DevOps, Security, and Networking fundamentals.
• Proficient in Linux environments and cloud tooling.
• Experience with major cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Software development experience in Java, Python, or Lua.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organizational and change management skills.
• Ability to manage competing client demands.
