Overview

Kong is seeking a seasoned Sales Engineer to drive new business, evangelize technology, and support customer onboarding and training in the Central Region.

In Short

• Support field sales in showcasing the Kong API/Connectivity Management platform.
• Build trusted client relationships throughout the sales lifecycle.
• Assist in Proof of Concepts (PoCs) during evaluations.
• Ensure customer satisfaction across assigned accounts.
• Coordinate with support, product, and engineering teams to meet customer needs.
• Create technical documentation for DevOps and implementation services.
• Perform additional tasks as required by management.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software or sales engineering management.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing and open source business models.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Ability to lead discussions with Product Managers, Engineers, and Executives.
• Enthusiasm for a fast-paced startup culture.
