Manager, Technical Accounting - Remote

Overview

The mission of Komodo’s Technical Accounting Manager is to support the growth of the company and its functions through data asset accounting and external reporting.

In Short

• Implement process improvements in data procurement accounting to increase accuracy and efficiency
• Establish and maintain robust infrastructure with cross-functional teams for data assets, from procurement to payment
• Improve data-related reporting and analysis to senior management and external auditors
• Evaluate data contracts to ensure proper accounting treatment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for accurate amortization of data assets
• Oversee the review and analysis of data vendor contracts
• Manage month-end and quarter-end close processes related to data asset accounting

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance with experience in a large public accounting firm
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in revenue accounting
• Knowledge of revenue recognition principles and practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
• Strong excel skills and ability to work with large volumes of data
• Proficiency in ERP systems; experience with NetSuite
