Software Engineer, Front-End Focus - Remote

Overview

As a Software Engineer, Front-End at Kin, you'll develop the products and features that make Kin operate in a Ruby on Rails environment with a Typescript front-end and PostgreSQL database.

In Short

• Develop products and features in a Ruby on Rails environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Dev, Product, and QA.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead small teams.
• Write clean, maintainable code in Ruby on Rails, Typescript, and Python.
• Participate in Agile methodologies and daily stand-ups.
• Set standards for the Engineering team.
• Drive advanced design or architectural tasks.
• Work with modern SPA frameworks, preferably Angular 2+.
• Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Provide subject matter expertise and support.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Javascript/Typescript, HTML, and CSS/SCSS.
• Experience with modern SPA frameworks and API integration.
• Familiarity with BEM methodology and Object-Oriented CSS principles.
• Track record of shipping software projects.
• Comfortable in a startup environment.
• Fast learner, ready to develop further.
• Location in Central or Eastern time zones preferred.
