Senior Development Officer - Remote

Overview

The Senior Development Officer (SDO) will represent JDC across Florida, engaging with individual and foundation donors to support JDC's fundraising strategy and growth priorities.

In Short

• Identify and solicit major gifts ($10K - $1M) for JDC’s programs.
• Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders and philanthropic partners.
• Plan donor engagement activities including events and travel.
• Record donor interactions in CRM software.
• Collaborate with various units within the organization.
• Develop fundraising metrics with supervisor.
• Travel locally and domestically for donor meetings.
• Work independently and efficiently in a dynamic environment.
• Engage with the Jewish community and organizations.
• Participate in special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional fundraising experience.
• Experience soliciting and closing major gifts.
• Strong relationship building and communication skills.
• Tech-savvy with donor management systems.
• Ability to travel locally and domestically.
• Self-starter with excellent networking capabilities.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing environments.
• Passion for JDC's mission and global Jewish issues.
• Experience in fundraising for global organizations preferred.
• CFRE designation is a plus.
