Senior Development Officer - Central and Southeast US - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a bold and entrepreneurial Senior Development Officer (SDO) to serve as a front-line fundraiser representing JDC throughout the East Coast. This dynamic leader will be instrumental in driving JDC’s mission forward—pursuing strategic opportunities with tenacity, cultivating meaningful relationships, and meeting each challenge with creativity and resilience.

In Short

• Proactively identify, research, engage, and cultivate a pipeline of high potential donors.
• Develop and meet individual and departmental fundraising goals.
• Strengthen strategic funding relationships with key stakeholders.
• Plan innovative donor engagement activities.
• Represent JDC’s global impact to diverse audiences.
• Maintain records of donor interactions in CRM.
• Work closely with units across the organization.
• Participate in special projects and donor-related assignments.

Requirements

• 10-15+ years of professional fundraising experience.
• Proven success in soliciting and closing major gifts.
• Experience raising funds for Jewish non-profits.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills.
• Technologically fluent with donor CRM systems.
• Ability to travel locally and domestically.
