Level 1 Helpdesk Technician - Remote

Overview

This role involves providing remote support to clients over the phone, in chat, and via email, ensuring clear communication and assistance with technical issues.

In Short

• Provide first-level support for service requests.
• Deliver remote IT support including expertise in Windows servers and Active Directory.
• Offer basic network support addressing WAN and LAN connectivity.
• Implement and support remote access solutions such as VPN.
• Monitor remote management systems for alerts.
• Maintain system documentation using ConnectWise.
• Communicate professionally with customers.
• Work hours are EST from Mon-Fri 9am to 6pm.
• Must have a fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps.
• Power backup solution is required for outages.

Requirements

• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Technical knowledge in IT support.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be a South African citizen.
• Experience in Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
