Field Service Technician - Jenbacher Engines - Remote

Overview

The Field Service Technician will perform mechanical and/or electrical hands-on field service work on Jenbacher Gas Engines, including troubleshooting, periodic maintenance, and minor overhauls.

In Short

• Execute service on the engines in compliance with the maintenance protocol.
• Carry out minor repairs on the engine in addition to the planned service.
• Execute major service on the engine in cooperation with colleagues.
• Coordinate tasks with external suppliers.
• Monitor maintenance activities compliant with EHS protocol.
• Analyze failures on the engines.
• Troubleshoot engines in the fields of electronics and mechanics.
• Create visit reports and fault analysis reports.
• Ensure a basic set of spare parts are available.
• Work effectively as part of a team or independently.

Requirements

• 4 years of reciprocating engine experience preferred.
• Experience as a car mechanic or electrician.
• Mechanical Technician or Electrical Technician or higher.
• Willingness for on-call rotation once trained.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work remotely as required.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
