Overview

A Field Service Engineer / Field Support Technician is needed to fault-find hardware and software applications, break-fix hardware devices, and engage with clients effectively in the retail and hospitality sectors.

In Short

  • Conduct daily visits to client locations for equipment maintenance.
  • Perform setup and troubleshooting of various IT hardware.
  • Document troubleshooting steps and actions taken.
  • Provide on-site equipment swap-out services to minimize client downtime.
  • Travel to client sites, involving UK-wide travel and overnight stays.
  • Experience in IT Technical Support or Electronic Equipment Installation preferred.
  • Full UK Manual Driver’s License is essential.
  • Training will be provided for EPoS hardware and software.
  • Work involves 13-hour shifts on a 3 days on, 3 days off rota.
  • A company van will be provided for daily client visits.

Requirements

  • Experience in troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
  • Ability to install and maintain electronic/technical devices.
  • Excellent client-facing skills.
  • Willingness to travel and stay overnight as required.
  • Full UK Manual Driver’s License.
  • Experience in IT Technical Support or similar fields.
  • Ability to document actions and communicate effectively.
  • Adaptability to learn new systems and processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
