Senior Quality Assurance Engineer I (Security) - Remote

Overview

The Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer I (Security) is primarily responsible for working on Inductive Automation Software products. Under the guidance of a Quality Assurance (QA) Group Manager, the Senior QA Engineer I will actively improve the quality and functionality of Ignition and drive the evolution of the QA team.

In Short

• Validate issues of all complexity with minimal guidance.
• Contribute both fixes and new tests to automated test suites.
• Diagnose run failure reports properly and transform them into actionable tasks.
• Focus on testing-related items within the development lifecycle.
• Develop and execute test plans that cover all functional requirements.
• Help identify security flaws at the design phase of the SDLC.
• Contribute to the Threat Modeling process.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites in existing security testing tools.
• Consult and help construct test plans for security-focused tickets.
• Demonstrate autonomy without sacrificing quality or delivery time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or at least 4 years experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a security-focused software testing role.
• Intermediate programming knowledge with at least one language.
• Solid understanding of the SDLC.
• Familiarity with source control management systems, such as Git.
• Experience with setup and querying of SQL databases.
• Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and macOS platforms.
• Experience with deploying applications using virtualization software.
• Strong understanding of security concepts.
• Demonstrated understanding of common software vulnerabilities.
