Quality Assurance Engineer II (Microservices) - Remote

Overview

The Quality Assurance Engineer II works on a team focused on Ignition-adjacent microservices projects, responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing automated and manual tests.

In Short

• Validating low to medium complexity bugs and features
• Building and maintaining automated test frameworks
• Performing PR reviews of automated tests
• Assisting with monitoring of nightly automation run reports
• Participating in testing contributions within the development lifecycle
• Collaborating with the Development team for proper test coverage
• Designing, developing, and executing test plans
• Documenting and tracking defects using issue tracking tools
• Staying up to date with industry trends and tools
• Collaborating with Developers and Product Managers for feedback

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or 4 years of experience
• At least 2 years of experience in a software testing role
• Experience with microservice architectures and REST APIs
• Cloud Platforms (AWS preferred)
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript for test automation
• Experience with web UI testing principles and frameworks
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and source control systems
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with bug tracking systems
