Senior Cloud Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for the planning, building and maintenance of Java/JVM distributed services deployed to the cloud, using modern container-based orchestration technologies. This role will work with a Cloud Architect on building code as infrastructure, and developing the CI/CD pipeline. This role will also collaborate with other development teams and team members to plan improvements, new products, features, and integrations.

• Identify opportunities for improvement including automation.
• Perform code and test reviews.
• Meet and maintain 6-month performance milestones.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering or related role.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in designing high-availability production distributed services.
• AWS certification (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of ECS/Fargate and AWS service integration.
• Experience with container-based scalable distributed architectures.
• Extensive experience with containers.
• Experience with data/database design.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry implementation.
• Experience with Java/JVM ecosystem.
• CI/CD pipeline implementation experience (Jenkins preferred).
